Ugh. WE STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT THE EFF NBC IS THINKING.

That's right, the network baffled the world earlier in the week when it announced that its HIGHlarious, cult-favorite comedy Community would be shelved in January to make room for the return of 30 Rock on Thursday night, and unsurprisingly, the news jolted last night's viewership of the comedy to score a 1.6 in the 18-49 demographic, with 3.63 million total viewers!

Meanwhile, by some cruel twist of fate, tWhitney somehow still managed a 4.1 million viewership, which for it was an all-time series LOW rating!

Again with the ugh.

Hopefully, this trend will continue though, and Community can gets its footing once again while Whitney sinks without a trace!

Now that he is "free", the LAPD's Threat Management Unit plans to send a detective to re-interview this guy and if need be, but him on a mental health hold.

Why? Oh, maybe because he told the cops that he had deep conversations with God about KILLING Selenita!!! That's a red flag if we've ever heard of one!

Should officials feel he is still mentally unstable following their interview, they cold then go to court and have Tom placed under a conservatorship, making him a ward of the county. Once that is in effect, essentially the cops can have a mental healthy facility take custody of him ... in Illinois.

That sounds nice. Nice and far from Selena's home!!

This guy still sounds pretty dangerous if you ask us, but we're glad to know the police are doing everything they can to make sure our Selenita stays safe.

Check out this news report on 16-year-old Kasey Landrum, a gay teen from Tennessee who was suspended from Lexington High School for wearing eye make-up, even though other punk rock kids do the same with consequence (above)!

Thankfully, after the story was caught wind of by The Tennessee Equality Project and LGBTQNation, Kasey's suspension was reversed and a new school policy, allowing all students to wear make-up, was put into place!

As it should have been!

Unless there was a strict dress code in place, which there clearly wasn't, these kids need the ability to express themselves and who they are, REGARDLESS of sexual preference!

¡Feliz Día De Los Muertos, y’all! As some of you may recall, a couple of weeks ago David and I attended the Día De Los Muertos celebration at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery here in LA but today is the actual Day of the Dead. Each year, folks hold a traditional Día De Los Muertos celebration on Olvera Street in downtown LA (the oldest street in Los Angeles) and each year, I try to attend the celebration. Last night, David and I made our way out to Olvera St. to enjoy the parade, the prayers & blessings, the face painting and the camaraderie that comes with Day of the Dead. Last night was my third Day of the Dead fest on Olvera street and it was truly one of the best.

I am always in awe of this traditional celebration. I love that so many children are allowed to participate … it’s such a beautiful celebration. David and I always have a great time on Olvera St. and last night was no exception. It’s really something to see so many people come together for this ancient traditional celebration. I’m thinking that we may have to celebrate Día De Los Muertos next year in Mexico ;) Now that would be amazingly cool.

Tonight, Darion and I are getting together for a LONG overdue dinner hang out and then later on, I’m seeing Filter live in concert at The Viper Room. I hope your Hump Day is a good one. Happy Wednesday ;D

It is Soap Dish time and this week I am dishing on a show you have to check out, the web series “Venice: The Series.” Yep it is online and one of my favorite soaps to date. I have been a fan of the web series ‘Venice: The Series” since it began in November of 2009. It is a show about an openly gay single woman played by the show creator and veteran soap opera actress Crystal Chappell. It was her “labor of love” as she calls it and you can tell every time you watch it. The show was inspirited by the popularity of the same-sex couple Otalia of which Crystal played Olivia on Guiding Light. When the show was cancelled “Venice: The Series” was born. Sucks! This sounds like such a pain!

John Mayer was forced to postpone the release of his latest album, Born and Raised, after discovering a granuloma above his vocal cords, and took this blog yesterday to announce that he successfully underwent surgery to take care of the issue, and is now on complete vocal rest for the next month - and possibly longer!

He writes:

Hey all…

I wanted to give you an update on the granuloma just above my vocal cord. I had surgery this afternoon to remove it and am now on complete vocal rest for a month or more. It’s been a very long process in waiting to see if time was an alternative to surgery, but even given two weeks’ voice rest (along with many other approaches), there was no change for the better.

I should be frustrated but I can’t seem to stop thinking about beautiful things… I never thought I’d be wishing I could do what I love again; I stay in at night, picking guitar parts off of records and dreaming of playing on the big stage. The only difference between now and when I was 18 is that now I have this beautiful, meaningful record waiting for me when I can sing it.

Last night David and I were invited to Jane’s House in Hollywood to help our good friend Johnny Lopez celebrate his 40th birthday! Johnny went all out for the affair with a live band AND a DJ, delicious food and signature drinks. Johnny‘s mom and sister flew in for the party and we all had the BEST time ever! Back in February, just about a year after the end of his long-running (and very excellent) Fox TV series 24, we learned that Kiefer Sutherland was returning to TV in a new series called Touch. Today, we get our first look at that new show, which is due to debut on Fox next Spring. Touch was created by Tim Kring, the man who created Heroes … and like that series, this new show will marry science with spirituality in an effort to show interconnectivity around the world … or something. After months of hearing Fox executives talk about the pilot for new series Touch (back in August, the network’s entertainment president Kevin Reilly called it “extraordinary”), here is the first trailer for the science-meets-spirituality drama starring Kiefer Sutherland, which will premiere in the spring. Like in his previous series, NBC’s Heroes, Touch creator Tim Kring tackles the premise that everything in the universe is interconnected. Sutherland plays a widower whose mute 11-year-old son possesses the ability to detect patterns that connect seemingly unrelated events. The trailer was first unveiled Tuesday at MIPCOM, where Sutherland said that in contrast to his signature role on Fox’s 24, where he had to keep all the emotion back, his character on Touch is all about emotion, something that is on display in the trailer. Fox has not announced an exact launch date for Touch, but speculation is that the series would premiere in March in what has become known as the “Kiefer” slot on Fox: Monday at 9 PM, where 24 (as well as Heroes) aired.



It looks good … but, honestly, this looks more like a movie trailer than a TV show trailer. I can see how this might be a very compelling story … but I guess the plan is for Kiefer, with his son’s help, to save people around the world on a weekly basis? HMMM. Kind of like a supernatural 24, I suppose. I’m deffo intrigued … and I love me some Kiefer so … I’m in. What do y’all think? Does this look like a show that YOU think you’d like to watch?

Two and a Half Men is still winning in the ratings department, getting CBS into the top position for the night, but House still debuted strong for Fox!

Here be the numbers, guys:

CBS shows were the night's four top-rated. "How I Met Your Mother" at 8 scored a 4.5/12 in the revered 18-49 demo, making it the night's second highest-rated show, and 10.5 million total viewers. "2 Broke Girls" at 8:30 was third with a 4.4/11 and 11.4 million. "Men" had a 6.1/14, down 18 percent from its second episode last week, but was still higher-rated than last season's average episode. It had 17.3 million total viewers.

Hmmm, sounds like the MaSheen leaving wasn't such a downfall, was it?

And it's good to see that House is still showing good numbers this late in its life. Especially with the bizarre opener where House was in prison.

After four long years, she's finally going to sleep in her own room again. She's going to be where her family and friends have been waiting for her since this whole ordeal started. She's going to get to live the life she was deprived. This is her time now.

Yesterday, Amanda Knox was found innocent of the murder of Meredith Kercher after DNA evidence was found to be insufficient and unreliable. After returning to prison to collect her personal things, Amanda was swiftly escorted to the airport to get her back to Seattle.

With the help of former FBI agent Steve Moore, a longtime Knox supporter, Amanda and her family left early this morning for London, where they will connect with a transfer to Seattle. Before leaving the country, Amanda released a brief statement, thanking those "who shared my suffering and helped me survive with hope."

It's an age old argument, one that has been debated upon for many, many years. We're actually a little surprised that this might be the first time this topic has come up on The View. Then again, we're more surprised to have heard seen Barbara Walters so effortlessly turned the phrase.

The hot topic today - The N-Word. We know we all shouldn't use it, yet its still a colloquialism heard frequently. Granted, its mainly only heard in rap songs and stand-up comedy, but its also only seems expectable to use it if you are a certain race. Today, both Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters used the full version of the n-word when talking about the Herman Cain's/Rick Perry scandal. Sherri Shepherd quickly interjected after Barbara spoke, exclaiming that Bab's way of saying it had a "different connotation" than Whoopi's. Things exploded from there.

Check out the video (above) to hear the panel get very heated over the topic and usage of the word. Personally, we'd like to see the word fade into nonexistence from everyone's vocabulary. But we also agree with Whoopi in that we shouldn't act like it never existed either. In fact, we agreed with a lot of the stuff Whoopi was saying.

Jessica Chastain has been cast in a pivotal role in Tom Cruise's upcoming sci-fi thriller. The project, formerly known as Oblivion and Horizons, centers around a futuristic Earth where people live in the clouds since the ground is inhabitable. Tommy Boy's character is a repairman who is sent back to Earth to fiddle with some droids or something and ends up meeting a woman who changes his world view forever.

Jessica ... wil NOT be playing this woman. Actually, she will be playing his lover above ground, the significant other he leaves behind in the clouds to get this job done. Oh, and we hear she is none-to-happy to hear that he beau is shacking up with some chick on the ground.

Oh lordy! Futuristic smackdown! Hell hath no fury like a ginger scorned! She's a fiery one, you know!
