It is Soap Dish time and this week I am dishing on a show you have to check out, the web series “Venice: The Series.” Yep it is online and one of my favorite soaps to date. I have been a fan of the web series ‘Venice: The Series” since it began in November of 2009. It is a show about an openly gay single woman played by the show creator and veteran soap opera actress Crystal Chappell. It was her “labor of love” as she calls it and you can tell every time you watch it. The show was inspirited by the popularity of the same-sex couple Otalia of which Crystal played Olivia on Guiding Light. When the show was cancelled “Venice: The Series” was born. GL fans will not see Natalia and Olivia so don’t get excited. Although Otalia inspired the show it follows Chappell’s character who is a designer and lives in Venice Beach. However fans of any soap or soap couple can get excited about this show because not only is it great writing with great storylines, it also stars some of daytimes current and former stars.
