Kanye Omari West, rapper, singer, and producer, came to fame through Roc-A-Fella Records where he was a record producer. He achieved musical acknowledgement after being involved in Jay-Z's album, The Blueprint, as well as on hit singles by other popular artists. Kanye West mixtapes were a vehicle for advancement, as they often are in hip hop careers. He has come so far that he is now one of the most identifiable rap artists in the industry.
