And so … the rain continues to fall here in SoCal. I’m not gonna lie, while I can appreciate the change of pace … the continuous rain is starting to be a real downer. I spent all of yesterday holed up indoors, trying to stay out of the cold wetness inside … and also spent much of my time trying to extract the constructive criticism from some of y’all about your feelings regarding the new layout of Pink is the new Blog.
Believe me, from the bottom of my heart … I am very thankful for all the feedback … both good and bad. Yes, it is much easier to read the positive comments but the passionate negative comments are very enlightening. I’ve been blogging for a very long time. It started out as a hobby but over time it turned into a passion and has been my livlihood for quite some time now. While nothing would make me happier than to please all people, all the time … that simply cannot be. When I started blogging, there was no TMZ … major news publications never dared to lower themselves to the blog format … and it was pretty much the Wild West of the Blogosphere (oh yeah, we used to use that word, too). My initial blog format was to write one big, long post per day and squeeze in as much daily goss as I could in that one post. The only reason that was my format of choice was because my poor HTML skills wouldn’t allow me to do anything else. It took a long time for me to risk changing EVERYTHING into a totally new format a few years ago … and then again now. It’s clear that some folks don’t like this new layout, and I can totally appreciate that. I’m listening to the dislikes and working towards finding a way to find a middle ground … as I said yesterday, nothing is set in stone. At the end of the day, I still really love what I do. I still really LOVE keeping up on pop culture and celebs and sharing my thoughts on all the funnest stuff. That is what I have been doing since I started blogging and that is what I plan to do for as long as I can. Blog culture is so different now than it was when I started. Now, major corporations with seemingly endless amounts of money fund seemingly endless numbers of blogs. I’m still just one person. In order for me to be able to continue to do what I love doing … I need to grow, adapt, change. Of course it is not my intention to alienate anyone, least of all you beloved readers who seem to enjoy what I do … but in order for me to be able to keep on bloggin’, things gotta change from time to time.
To those of you sending in your well wishes, positive comments and love — words cannot express what that has meant to me in the past 24 hours. To those of you honestly sharing your thoughts — both good and bad — I honestly love you for taking the time to share those thoughts with me. My end goal has been and will continue to be to keep writing Pink is the new Blog. I’m happy and thankful for any and everyone who wants to keep reading along.

The 2011 Grammy Awards Nominations Have Been Announced
Huzzah!! Happy Day!! Felicitations!! Do you know what today is? Today is the day that we give thanks and celebrate the birth of the beautiful, amazing, gorgeous, living legend, icon of our generation, innovator, strong, kicks ass & takes names, doesn’t retaliate when people diss her – takes the high road, deserves a standing ovation at all times, QUEEN of all popdom … our dear Britney Spears:
While December 2 is not yet a national holiday, I still think that we should all take some time out of our day and send ALL OF OUR BIRTHDAY LURVE to our beloved Britney today. As you may have heard, there are some heinous rumors going on about Britney and her lovebird Jason Trawick — rumors that were so unbelievably ridiculous that I didn’t even both to mention them yesterday … but I will cover in a post later today — but let’s send her love and well wishes today to offset the horrible negativity that is plaguing her these days. IMHO Britney Spears truly is a living legend in her own way and I, for one, wish her the HAPPIEST of Birthdays today and many, many, many more Happy Birthdays to come!!

Yes! It sounds like Jon Chu is taking the upcoming G.I. Joe sequel very seriously and is trying to steer clear of its campy predecessor.
In a recent interview he shared his life-long love for the Joes, saying:
"To me, it's one of the few brands that has a soul, a multi-generational soul, where it's about what it means to be a leader in the community, in your home, with your friends, and what it means to be a leader and a hero."
As long as he skips the PSA at the end of every episode, we like his attitude. The world needs heroes now more than ever, but REAL heroes, not handsome actors making jokes as they zip around in CG "accelerator suits".
Although, we didn't mind the handsome actors, so much as the silly accelerator suits! Ha!
The director sounds like he's taking a more realistic approach to the film, saying:
"[G.I. Joe 2 is] not just another action movie. Maybe the first one was that, but we're really trying to break it down and take the shine off and show that my Joes were the ones in the mud, the sand and the trees and in the epic worldwide adventures. Each one had individual talents. So we really want to bring the experience of what I grew up with playing with these toys. What it feels like so that kids now can be reintroduced to the Joes and experience it in a different way. This is like down and dirty Joe for me."
Down and dirty Channing Tatum? We likey!
We're getting a little more confident in this movie the more we hear about it. We're crossing our fingers it turns out well!
Does the director's approach make U more or less excited for this movie?

X Factor: Our Favorite Performance Of The Weekend Was…

Cher Lloyd's stripped-down performance on X Factor's Beatles-themed show Saturday was THE BEST of the night!

Yesterday evening, before I made my way to the Viper Room to see American Hi-Fi LIVE in concert, I attended an opening day showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 at the ArcLight in Hollywood, CA. Without question, I loved every single second of the film and enjoyed it so thoroughly that I cannot wait to see it again:
JK Rowling‘s Harry Potter books are always so rich with detail and lush storytelling that the film versions, as good as they are, seem like watered down tales that pale in comparison to the original source material. Because the final Harry Potter book, The Deathly Hallows, has been turned into 2 films, that watered down feeling didn’t feel as heavy-handed as it does for previous films. True, not everything in the first half of Deathly Hallows is included in Part 1 but we do get much more of the story than we usually get from the film adaptations … and we have an entirely new film to look forward to as well. This final installment of the Harry Potter film franchise is very dark and very scary … even for adults. No lie, I jumped out of my seat a couple of times with actual fright. There’s a lot of sexiness going on as well … Daniel Radcliffe strips down to his underwear in parts of the film and the semi-naked kissing (fantasy) scene between Harry Potter and Hermoine Granger made me feel really … uncomfortable. Still, those elements are required of the story so they didn’t feel gratuitous … in fact, they added muchly to the tone of the film. I was very impressed with the animated scenes that were used for the retelling of The Tale of the Three Brothers within the film. All in all, the film impressed me greatly … I loved it entirely. I really, REALLY did not want the movie to end … and when it does, I gave an audible sigh of sadness. I fear I’ll be bawling my eyes out when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is released next Summer. I damn near bawled my eyes out this time!
I’m not sure how this film will play for folks who are unfamiliar with the Harry Potter books and/or movies but the other 98.7% of the planet should enjoy this film very much.

Anti-Aging Skin Treatment Items
Sometimes using anti-aging items are not sufficient. So, you can attempt utilizing moisturizers rather. Ideally, you'll need to buy two kinds. 1 will be utilized in the early morning along with other prior to going to bed.
Aging can also be caused by as well a lot exposure towards the sun. This could be prevented by utilizing a product that has UV safety. The majority of these have other ingredients like Vitamin C and E, magnesium, titanium and zinc, that is also good for your body.
Individuals also possess the choice of using pills to handle anti-aging. The one issue is the fact that these issues are expensive. The price variety of these expenses from $45 to $75 per month. Those who are experiencing the first indicators of aging are advised to seek advice from with a dermatologist before purchasing it from the store or on-line. This is simply because some might have an allergic reaction whilst other people will suffer from its side effects.Despite the items available in the marketplace, you will not have the ability to hide how old you really feel when reaching a particular age. Some don't wish to think or accept it but this is really a reality that we all have to encounter as we turn another yr older come our birthdays.
