Elton John’s Husband David Furnish Son Zachary Jackson Levon Surface In Hawaii

Last Wednesday we got to see a couple of supercute photos of new dad Elton John (Daddy) playing with his adorable baby son Zacharay Jackson Levon while on vacation in Hawaii and today we get to see a cute photo of Elton‘s hubby David Furnish (Papa) posing with the couple’s adorable son. New dads and [...]

Yay!! I am happy to report that David and I successfully made our way from NYC to Berlin, Germany without a single problem. Our business class Delta flight was as perfect as can be. We made it to our temporary Germany home without incident and already explored our new neighborhood for a bit. I’m not gonna lie, it’s really freakin’ cold here but we’ve been having so much fun we *almost* haven’t noticed ;)

We started out our German adventure with a champagne toast and away we went. The first thing we did after we settled into our place was check out the surrounding neighborhood. It is really cute. Full of fun shops, lots of cafes and young families everywhere:

I really love the graffiti all over the place … I think the Unicow has become my spirit animal. We are doing our best to fight off the jet lag so I think tonight is going to be an early night so we can get on our new sleep schedule. Thus far, no big plans … we’re planning to just take the city as it comes. Our Berlin adventure has officially begun! Tschüss!!

Beginner Drum Sets, What to Look Out for?

After years of usage and wear, your piano's finish will gradually succumb to the elements and show signs of wear. Older pianos often have a thick varnish coating that will crack and turn dark hiding the beauty of the veneers, pianos that have been exposed to high exposures of sunlight will fad, the finish turning from translucence to foggy gray. Restoring a piano finish will add additional value to your piano if done properly and make it an acceptable piece of furniture in your decor.

Take Your Music To A New Level With The Help Of Music Maker Software

When writing a song, what comes first: the melody or the lyrics? I don' think it has to be either. When I write I compose both simultaneously. I also don't see a need to 'rough draft' my songs. I find it more beneficial to write and rewrite one line at a time till I have finished copy. Ultimately, the best method to employ is the one that works for you.

Easily Make Drum Beat Sequences for Hip Hop

Perfect Pitch is something that many musicians would love to posses. Perfect Pitch is the more common name for Absolute Pitch which gives meaning to the ability of a person who can recognize and reproduce a specific musical note, or exact tone, without any assistance or knowledge of the musical note played to them. Furthermore, the actual referencing of the musical note isn't necessarily confined to just naming the note, although this is the most common example of Absolute Pitch, or Perfect Pitch.

Victoria Beckham Loses Her Cool While Parenting Her Kiddies

Victoria Beckham is ALWAYS the perfect picture of restraint and control but over the weekend at an LA Galaxy soccer match at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, her poshness lost her cool for a split second when her children — Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James, Cruz David and BFF Ken Paves — forced her [...]

After our fun-filled day by the beach, Darion, his mom, David and I made our way to the AMC Theater at Century City to see Source Code. Now, I’ve had mixed feelings about the film from the very first time I saw the trailer a few months ago. On the one hand, the trailer didn’t make the film look all that good … on other hand, well, Jake Gyllenhaal is in it so …. you can see how I was torn. When I learned that Duncan Jones (David Bowie‘s son) directed it, I was sold. Overall, I liked Source Code very much … tho, for me, the ending left much to be desired.

I’ve heard some people say that Source Code reminds them of Inception and while I can see how some people can make that connection, I totally do not think the movies are all that similar. The storylines are totally different and there really isn’t all that much overlap thematically. In Source Code, we are are taken on a journey that tries to make us understand the concept of alternate realities and for the most part, I was on board with what the movie was trying to say … but the ending, I’m sorry, no I just didn’t buy it. I’ve watched my fair share of sci-fi programming that has given me a “working knowledge” of time travel, alternate realities, other dimensions etc. (and by “working knowledge” I mean, I’ve come to believe in a set of fictional rules that seem feasible to me if time travel, alternate realities, etc. actually existed). The ending of Source Code just did not work for me in the framework of my “working knowledge” of sci-fi temporal travel so … yeah, no, I didn’t like the ending. The rest of the movie, tho, I thought was inventive and entertaining. As much as I love Jakey poo, I felt he overacted a bit in some scenes but not enough to turn me off entirely. The support cast was fine but they were like background wallpaper … none of them really added anything to the story that stood out for me. I wish Source Code wasn’t a PG-13 film because the action felt a bit watered down. But, again, the inventiveness of the story, the twists and turns and overall plotline really entertained me. I don’t expect this film will do gangbusters at the box office but it’s worth seeing. If you miss it in theaters, you’ll be just fine seeing it on DVD or on cable.

Did any of y’all see Source Code this weekend? What did you think?

Singing Lessons for Beginners What to Do If You Want to Become a GREAT Singer

I value my karaoke machine more each and every day that I own it, and it's all thanks to the beautiful Christian karaoke discs out there. I purchased my karaoke machine about 2 years ago, and it's pretty much been collecting dust in my main hall closet for the majority of that time. Thank the lord, my friend brought to my attention one afternoon that there is Christian karaoke songs out there that are a lot of fun (not to mention uplifting).

Steel Drum Music At Your Wedding Ceremony

Dating back to 4,000 years ago, the guitar remains one of the oldest and most widely recognized musical instruments still played today. Wood is the main material used in guitar construction, and in most cases, exotic woods on the brink of extinction are used. But with increasing concerns about deforestation, the time has come to find more sustainable materials for constructing this all important musical instrument.

time bandits reboot in the works

If Terry Gilliam is involved with the reboot, we can probably assume Johnny Depp will get a role!

According to recent reports, a 3D Time Bandits reboot is in the works. No word yet on whether or not Gilliam will produce and/or direct, but hopefully he'll be involved on some level.

His most recent film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, was visually phenomenal! Could be inneresting to see Gilliam apply that visual style to the bizarre world of Time Bandits.

Do U think Time Bandits should be rebooted? Would U like to see Terry Gilliam and Johnny Depp get involved with the project?

Introduction to BACRONYMS, Also Introduction to SUBTLE WORDS COCKTAIL

In the thirty plus years I've spent as a professional illustrator and cartoonist I've run into numerous people who've often stated how they had wished they had kept up with their art studies and not given them up. That's a sad thing to hear because it shows that they let someone else or something else get in the way of their creative thrust. It's like listening to the spectres of the past moaning in the howling wind of some graveyard of broken dreams.

Yesterday was Election Day here in the US and for the most part, all of the candidates and propositions that I voted for here in California either won or passed … so, on that front, I am happy:

Naturally, I’m not at all happy with the way many elections turned out in the rest of the country but as a student of political science, I was not only prepared for it … I was expecting it. Midterm elections tend to swing back and forth wildly from one party to the other so it came as no surprise that control of the House of Representatives went to the Republican party. All 435 seats in the House go up for reelection every 2 years so it’s natural that control can change drastically from election to election. I’m actually most concerned about the 2012 election more than anything. We’ll have to see how things turn out in 2 years time.

Last night I met up with my dear Angi for dinner at La Boheme in West Hollywood, CA and we had a fantastic time together. I always have a great time just hanging out and chatting with Angi … tho, eating together adds to the fun, too ;) We had a fine night.

I have tentative plans to hang out with Adriana tonight, so hopefully those plans will pan out. It’s gonna be in the 90′s today here in La today … so, yeah, it’s gonna be a Hot Hump Day!

On Monday we got to see some pretty incredible photos of Tom Cruise filming a very intense and dangerous stunt on the world’s tallest building on the Dubai set of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol … and today we get to check out a couple more photos of Tom in action. While the photos we saw previously were snapped from afar, these new photos were snapped up close and personal:

There were some who did not believe that it was actually Tom Cruise that we saw in the photos before but there is no denying, it’s definitely him. These cool photos were snapped from inside the Burj Kahlifa building while Tom filmed his M:I 4 scenes. I gotta say, I’m still really damn impressed that Tom would choose to do this sort of very dangerous stunt work himself … that being said, I’ve always suspected that Tom was a little nuts — this is proof positive.

U2 is undoubtedly one of the most popular rock and roll bands of recent times and has tons of hit songs that get lots of radio play. If you listen closely to the guitar player who calls himself The Edge, you will hear something strange going on - a sort of echo in the sound coming out of his guitar. What is that?
